Erasmus+ Mobility for Traineeship at:

Kersnikova Institute, Ljubljana

For a long time, I have wanted to visit Slovenia, Ljubljana, and explore their art scene. I was able to fulfill this wish through the Erasmus+ Traineeship program. Having completed my undergraduate studies and currently pursuing a master’s degree in Digital Graphic Media, I realized that this program has contributed to my artistic growth, and I can see progress in my work.

During my traineeship at the Kersnikova Institute, I had the opportunity to get introduced to the incredible projects and topics they work on. I observed how an art institute operates, participated in their activities, and contributed to their work. Using my photography and graphic design skills gained at the Faculty of Applied Arts, I had the chance to apply them in various situations to support the institute’s progress. I photo documented workshops and ceremonies that took place as part of different projects. Additionally, I designed graphic materials and collaborated with colleagues to develop ideas for designing various project aspects. I am grateful to all the institute members who were very kind to me and made me feel like one of their own.

Living in Ljubljana for those few months was an unforgettable experience for me. I lived in a house with eight amazing young Erasmus students. We shared our life experiences, culture, traditions and future plans. Together, we traveled around Slovenia, organized parties, and engaged in various fun activities.

Besides my traineeship, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a young aspiring Czech musician, Jan Modra – Yenske, who luckily was one of my housemates and has become a lifelong friend. Using our combined artistic skills, we created a music video and a song “Rest in Chaos” that can now be found on music streaming platforms. For the first time, I took on the role of a videographer, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. I can confidently say that I met people with whom I believe I will maintain friendships and collaborate in the future.

Ljubljana is a city of indescribable beauty; my dream city. The balance between urban life and natural surroundings makes it truly unique. It exudes tranquility, with clean air and stunning nature, much like the rest of Slovenia. The pace of life here suits me perfectly, making me feel peaceful, happy, and healthy. I embraced daily cycling and hiking, discovering its many trails, mountains, and rivers, each more breathtaking than the last. Without a doubt, I would gladly return if the opportunity arises, as this city has left an unforgettable mark on me.
