My experience at Beaux-Arts de Paris faculty from September 18th to January 16th of the 2023/24 school year was truly extraordinary. The period was marked by two remarkable group exhibitions—one held in the studio of the esteemed Professor Bojan Sarcevic, whom I greatly admire, and who I choose as my “chef du atelier” and the other showcasing collaborative work with international students, us 24, colleagues artist from all around the world, with whom I had the luck to meet at this mobility programme.
Days were spent immersed in workshops and studios, delving into the vibrant artistic community of Paris. Biking and walking through the city, I explored numerous galleries and museums, broadening my artistic perspective. This experience not only improved my language skills but also led to lasting friendships with both classmates and international students.
The camaraderie among classmates created a warm atmosphere, and engaging in thought-provoking political and art discussions became a regular occurrence. Beaux Arts, being a sizable institution, provided a diverse environment with numerous opportunities for interaction.
One of the highlights was learning the art of lithography, a technique previously unfamiliar to me. Printing my photos in the well-equipped studios added a new dimension to my artistic skills. The learning experience extended beyond the studios as I explored the extensive and enchanting library—a place that felt akin to Hogwarts, where I spent countless hours immersed in art and literature.
In essence, my time at Beaux-Arts de Paris was not just an academic stint; it was a transformative journey filled with artistic growth, cultural exploration, and the forging of lifelong connections.
