MY TEACHING MOBILITY IN SPLIT: Zoran Todorović, Faculty of Fine Arts

From 26th to 31st of March 2023 I had the opportunity to deliver a couple of lectures at the Film and Video Department of the Arts Academy in Split. I made this visit with my colleague from the Faculty Žarko Aleksić, and on the first day, we had an official meeting with the Vice-Dean for International collaboration Miona Miliša who at the time was about to assume the function of the dean. The meeting was very friendly and informative. Also, some administrative work was carried out regarding our visit, and there were some appropriate gifts too.

My teaching program took place at a few courses related to experimental film and sound editing held by colleagues Slobodan Jokić, Sandra Sterle and Gildo Bavčević. It was a review and a correction of student works and projects as well as the presentation of student works from Belgrade which were realized at our New Media Department. In the following days there was an Artists talk program organized during which I presented my own production, where besides students there were also other colleagues from other departments of Split Academy and other artists as well. On the basis of this some models of return students exchange and also the visits of professors and teachers at the Belgrade Faculty of Fine Arts were agreed.

During this stay my colleague Aleksić and I had the opportunity to visit some important cultural institutions in Split and be informed about their collections, and meet the colleagues who are taking care of them. Above all these are Meštrović Gallery, Museum of Fine Art, Photo Club Split, Diocletian’s Palace, etc.
