University of Fine Arts in Budapest, Hungary

During my stay in Budapest, on the student mobility program, I’ve gained many wonderful experiences that I will cherish forever. Having the opportunity to live abroad, alone, in a foreign city was a very useful experience in both gaining independence and expanding social skills.

I have found living in Budapest on a very higher level than in my hometown, but I’ve also found a lot of similarities in the matters of living with my home country. I’ve visited the city a few times before my mobility, but being able to live in Budapest for a few months really widened my horizons and connected me to the city on a deeper level.

Studying at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts gave me the opportunity to expand my views on art practice, exhibiting practice, and the lives of artists in general. I was amazed to realize that the exhibition openings were indeed attended by a large number of people with deep interests in art. I’ve learned a lot about different technologies and practices in art, some of which I will continue to use in my future art production. Communications with professors and the classes themselves were more than useful, and I am really happy I’ve got this opportunity for mobility.

Maybe the most important thing I have gained from this experience is meeting a lot of people from all over the world and being able to socialize and work together with them.

The mobility period rally gave me wonderful moments from gaining new friends I’ve met there, exploring both the city and the country, and learning about new art and exhibition practices. Overall, I am extremely glad that I’ve decided to participate in a mobility program because it has greatly impacted my personal and professional development.
